Comparison Shopping? Parents, when shopping for
lessons, please note that Stonelea's prices are for private lessons, where your child will build confidence while learning many
riding skills and horsemanship in a safe and knowledgeable environment. Your child will be practicing that day's skills the entire time, not sitting and waiting for their 1 minute turn around the ring. Progression is much faster at Stonelea, where one private lesson equals up to 5 group lessons! Now, do the math! Your child will learn true horsemanship, not just putting time in --sitting in the saddle.

Homeschool Programs
New this year, Stonelea Farm will be offering special group pricing for all homeschooled children. Lessons must be taken during the school day hours and consist of a group of at least 3 to 4 students. Students will learn some basic barn management skills as well as enjoy a lesson on a quiet, patient school mount. Ms. Lucia will focus on safety while riding and students will practice valuable skills and improve their riding position and communication with their horse as they progress through the different skill levels. Limited riding times remain.
Please call or email Ms. Lucia for more information.
Girl Scout Programs
A visit to the farm will help scouts attain their “Horse Fan” badge or a Brownie “try-it”.
Please call or email for rates.
Working Student Program
if your child is passionate about horses and would love to spend more time at the barn in addition to their lesson time this may be your answer! Students must be 10 and older, currently in the lesson program, and must be responsible and independent workers. Working students do any of the barn chores necessary to the smooth running of the barn—grooming, leading horses in, helping prepare horses for a lesson, mucking, haying, feeding, being a camp counselor, etc. Students work 5 hrs. in return for a supervised ride on a horse or pony; plus other bonus benefits from Ms. Lucia when opportunities present themselves!
Please call or email
for more information.
